Why am I seeing all these new Ads on the Canadavisa Forum? Is just me or you guys are also being bombarded by Ads???
Thank you. I complained about them in on of the threads. They are so annoying and poorly executed. They weren't there before. Just in the last two days they started to appear.

I am using this site on my desktop (web browser = Chrome) and I haven't seen a single ad (may be my ad blocker is doing a really good job). I only see ads on mobile.

You are forgeting that canada visa forum is free.

They have expenses for servers, maintanence, etc.

Are you willing to pay not to see ads

Example Spotify free vs paid, youtube free vs Youtube paid

This forum helped me and my feiends many many many times and i do not mind scrol through ads if that helps them

We are aware of that. There should be other ways than producing bad user experiences to get money. At least organize them in a non distracting way, or display them for guests for example. But these ads are everywhere, large and small. It's out of control. I am not a strong proponent of the free stuff on the Internet. It gives us bad quality and privacy problems. But many forums are free and without ads. How those make money and maintain their forums?

I google it. Didn't work well.
If you are using Chrome, go to Settings -> Site Settings -> JavaScript.
You can also use search box in Settings tab to find this option.

Most likely you will see JavaScript set as "Allowed" and you can leave it as-is.
Down below you will see another section where you can selectively block websites to run Javascript. Thats where you can put www.canadavisa.com and thats about it, you wont have JavaScript running on this website and thereby no Ads for you.

Hope this works for you.

Actually this works. But I lost some features like in the reply box I lost text formatting features. But I can live with that. Thanks
