why my pr interview was canceled

I received a letter (we are pleased to advise that the processing of your application for pr will be finalized at your next interview that has been scheduled for march 6. at Montreal
on 5 march I received a call from a lady to cancel my interview, when I asked what was the reason , she said further investigation.... :'(
any one can help me here I am so upset.

You could also contact your MP and ask them to inquire on your behalf.

That is really weird and not common ! Keep calling different bodies to find out what happen and why! You might be thinking of hiring a good lawyer as well.
I would say, assuming, that someone called CIC and make them feel like there is something wrong about your file.

What was your wife's status in Canada during the application process? Visitor/Temporary worker/IEC?

The only situation I can think of that would require sudden further investigation at time of landing, is when CIC discovers that sponsor and applicant were not actually living together during the inland processing. Other than this though... I have no idea.
