Why is the " In Process " tag not changing? New Delhi VO

Hello everyone !

I have gone through some of the recent posts here and one of the most talked about issue is the delay in stamping the passports. I finished my medicals in JUNE 2012 and sent the passports a week later.

I would like to know if anyone of you who submitted the passports and finished their medicals during the similar time has got the eCAS updated (from - in process). Do they directly send the papers/ stamped passports or before that the eCAS status will be updated.

It has been nearly 5 months since I went through my medicals and there is still no good news.. I am starting to get a bit edgy now.

Friends, if anyone of you finished the medicals around June2012 and have received the visa, please report.

I already got my PPT back (with the visa counterfoil applied) and the ECAS is still "In Process"

Yeah true I have completed my 4months no news.. I think either they have finished quota of year 2012 at NDVO or we will get it by DEC.
Dear alexchristi your visa office is "Bucharest" we are talking about New Delhi Visa office. At Bucharest there might be some Visa quota left.

One term that is cropping up every now and then is "QUOTA for 2012". What exactly it means......... Quota for a particular work area/ occupation or is it the total number or people from India for the year 2012?

Is 5 months of waiting time after medicals normal or a matter or concern?

Its very clear by now that there are quite a few of us who did their medicals in june 2012 and are still waiting for the visa

but

I would like to know how many with the same time line have received the visa. Please jot down your happy stories too...

I have also done medicals in July and waiting for return of passports. Moreover I do not think that people (MI1) who have done medicals in June-July have got passports back. Refer to the link

Quota could be like how many visas and mrs an office can send in a year. As we fall under NDVO, means VISA quota given to them or one more thing there could be batch system.

Collect all passports about to get visa at 1 place and issue them all together. So if limit for example is 50 and ur passport is ready for visa at 30th number means it will sit there and wait for another 20 passports to get ready before visa is stamped and sent back.

Its just an assumption. Correct me if I am wrong.

hi, i have same timeline as other member in this post. waiting for the passport back with maple leaf since 6/06/12. had sent CSQ to ndvo & got reply yesterday after 3 months. ndvo advice me to wait as background check is going. pls seniors/ members advice me how long these background check will go. i want to know will it be completed & get decesion made within six months of the passport submission as i'm MI3 applicant applied on july/12.

Jeet mentioned Background Check.... Just by common sense, its hard to believe that everyone of us from the JUNE 2012 batch are still being checked....

what looks logical here is that

there indeed is some sort of quota for NDVO and probably its done for this year......

hard to digest but that seems to be the writing of the wall.

Please find out someone who got the visa and we will have a new set of assertion-reasoning.
