i cannot understand ... i can sponsor any relative i want but not my own child who is 30 years old ....... what a dilemma........ cant i just sponsor him....isnt there any way :o

You can't sponsor any relative, you can only sponsor spouses/dependent children, and parents/grandparents and their dependent children when that program is open.

You could sponsor your 30 yr old child if you have no spouse and no living relatives in Canada, and no parents alive anywhere in the world.

Your child is considered to be an adult thus not considered to be your dependent. Only way to be able to claim him as your dependent regardless of age is if he is totally financially and medically dependent on you.

The reason you can't is because he's at a certain age where he's not considered a dependent, he's supposedly able to take care of himself and doesn't depend on you, he's a grown adult. If he wants to come to Canada, he should arrive under a skilled worker program.

According to your older posts, you have a spouse. So no - sponsoring your adult child is not possible. Your adult child will have to qualify to immigrate to Canada independently if they want to come here.
