While I was studying, I left canada for visit my backhome, have question about Dates

Hello everyone,

I've got a question, while I was studying in Canada during my study time, I left India to visit for 12 days, now in travel information, I need to put the TO and FROM date and purpose of visit, what should I put?

I started my study in 2012-05 and I left India in September 2012 and returned back in the same month but my study was still ongoing, your help is highly appreciated.

How far do you have to mention your travel history? I don't know what form your filling. If it's a pr application then you would put the no. of days. Usually they just ask for the last five years. Anyways, if you are comfortable with putting the actual reason put that e.g attend wedding, graduation, funeral or you could go with the plain visiting family and relatives
