Hi you all,
Since the OINP news came out, I am deciding whether I should still apply for Ontario's graduate schools. It used to be easy to just finish up the program within 2 years, it was easy to accomplish for most international students.
The other provincial nomination program I am considering is Manitoba. The thing is they dont care about degree or diploma, once you complete the study, you have to work for at least 6 months within the province. This is where I think it is a bit risky, such as what if I can not find the job in time? What if I dont meet the job requirements, etc.
Does anyone know if the Ontario nomination program for master students are coming back soon? OR it is going to get worse? This will really impact my decision.
Thanks a lot guys!

It will be re opened prob in towards the end of this year or early next year. I don't think you should base which school you apply to on your PR. You should go to a school you honestly want to go to and will give you that placement you need for when you are done school. Im sure by 2017 International students will receive more points in the EE pool.

Thanks a lot HoPe90! I appreciated it!
The thing is there are similar majors actually, the main differences between my ON and MB schools are degree/diploma.
I am more conservative, I dont like taking risks. For future, yes, ON master degree seems a lot better than just diplomas in MB.However, I would also have to take the PR into account, that is why I am struggling.

I would say get a degree not a diploma if you are doing your masters. That is just me though
