Which Airline?

Hello guys,

I am having confusion to make decision of booking air tickets. Please suggest me which flight is cheaper one. Some people say PIA is good because it is direct from Kchi-Toronto. Others say it is expensive, ans some say PIA is not good. A few friends has suggested me to go through Turkish airlines. And I a having difficulty with booking tickets. If I check prices of flights on their websites, they show bit high fares, But if asks from an agent he tell quite reasonable prices on the same dates and for same flights. Why is it? Isn't it like fraud?

My classes will start on 7th September. I am thinking to leave in the last week of august. What would you people say?

Well you will get minimal rate from travel agent because they always get a commission of 6-8% from the fare you see online. As a result travel agents can deduct some of that percentage from the fare (making better deal).

I personally use Al-Taqi Travels in Blue Area in Islamabad (they are located near all the money changers like Western Union, etc.). Just go through a travel agent and ask them to get you the cheapest fares available. Emirates, Etihad and PIA are the best options. Al-Taqi is a very reliable travel agency -- I've been using their services for years.

hi nightrocker i am also having difficulty in booking tckts
emerates is showing all booked, turkish is comin a bit expensive so bought tckt of for 27 august etihad airline worth 85K.
from which city u will be going...

Yaar i must must appreciate your confidence man..But i guess it happened in my case as well.. i booked ticket in May as well but still waiting for my visa.. now i am not doing any such thing.. anyhow yaar allah behtar karega... well check out PIA fares.. they give 10 to 15 percent discount as well i guess to students.. just show them your admission letter... and ur classes are starting from 7th and allah karay we all get visa.. why r u going before eid.. better go on 3rd 4th of 5th.. and u will be goin to toronto or to someother place..bcoz pia goes to toronto only so if you have plans of going to another city lyk in my case i will be going to calgary,alberta then you have to buy Air Canada ticket as well.. anyways yaar u gave me a hope again.. allah karay yaar coming week mai visa lag jayeee... ameen...

i read a post from someone here... that PIA is the cheapest one.... as it gives 10% student discount.......

I just called PIA help line to check if a person can avail double discount on a ticket from PAK to Canada.
10% discount is confirmed for student, and there is 15% discount if you buy ticket using your Standard Chartered Debit card.
PIA says 1 can only avail 1 type of discount either using student discount or SCB debit card discount.
It makes 66K plus something if using student discount. Seats available for 26th of August. So better you call PIA on their 111-786-786 and book your flight straight away. Plus there is a must flight every Friday, so it is up to you but it would be fine as afridi suggested to fly right after Eid.

Thanks afridi bhai for your suggestions. Yaar Allah men umeed rakho, jis ney itni bari universe bana di uske saamney visa kiya ehmiyat rakhti hai bhai. Just have strong faith in Allah. By the way I have did geology from here, that's why I was using such petroleum terms that day. ;D ;D ;D

Yaar actually my family is insisting me to go some 15 days before the classes start, because just to be familar with the new city, new area, new roads, new college and new people, every thing will be new. So what do you people suggest yaar? men to paagal hogaya hoon ??? ??? ???

come on man... u dont need to get familiar with anything right now.. itx jux the univ to ur flat road that u have to be familiar with lolz.. and i guess it wont be a difficult task .. my friend told u that u need not more than 3 days.. come on man u r not from stone age.. u r educated and it wont be like pakistan..there will be sign boards and alot of stuff.. i think dont go there without spending ur last eid.. last in the sense k pata nae phir kab moka milay.. so enjoy eid here and it wud be lyk double eid this year for u... i wud suggest go after eid...

PIA is the cheapest and the only direct route. buy hey its PIA, expect out of order restrooms, antique entertainment and weird passengers. its worse than itwar bazaar when you get on or off, all the pushing and shoving. I've been on a few PIA international flights and there were always problems such as the delays, ac leaking water, cold food, so called entertainment system not working, uncomfortable seats, filthy toilets and pedo passengers.

any how the pia flight is 17 hours long. many would lose their sanity on it for such a long duration. Emirates via dubai is the next best option and costs around 83K total from ISB or LHR to toronto, and its an A380, so the economy seats are much wider and comfortable.

and i agree with Afridi. 3 days are more than enough to get over jet lag and get used to everything.

Qatar has great service And their food is simply AWESOME

BTW I don't think you can get emirates within 83K at this time. Plus now-a-days, emirates mostly run on their reputation instead of service!

You havent seen the A380.
I was on it when i went to Sweden 2 months ago to see follow this metal concert. Nothing beats the Emirates service. Over here it costs around 4,900 dirhams for the flight to Toronto with a stop at Abu Dhabi of an hour. I dont know how much it costs in Pakistan. But 83k would be tooo less,.

I was on it when i went to Sweden 2 months ago to see follow this metal concert. Nothing beats the Emirates service. Over here it costs around 4,900 dirhams for the flight to Toronto with a stop at Abu Dhabi of an hour. I dont know how much it costs in Pakistan. But 83k would be tooo less,.

A380 is new line maybe that's why they did not modify those yet But like I said, 83k is too less especially for this time :|

A380 has about 6 economy classes that starts from as less as 76k and goes up around 150k, so better check carefully
