Hello everyone, your experience or advice is highly appreciated.
My husband is principal applicant under in-Canada class and I am the sponsor. He has a 16 year-old son but he has been estranged from this child for years due to not-good marriage. Now this child is under sole custody of his exwife and live in their home country. He lost connection with them passively. It is impossible to take this child as his dependant and immigrate to Canada.
When we are preparing the application, it is found that birth certificate of the child was in the checklist but he has no way to get this document or obtain his exwife's agreement.
Is it possible to explain this situation to IRCC and be waived from this document?
