Where to submit passport when I need to travel in 2 days?

My wife got passport request letter for her visitor visa today in India. She is travelling to USA in next 2 days and this trip can't be postponed.

Now I am in dilemma, where she can send her passport for stamping?

1. Can she submit passport in VFS USA location?
2. Can she send passport in courier from USA to India to get it stamped and then couriered it back?
3. Is there any other feasible options available?
