we are working on our file and we dont want to hire any lawyer. where do we start from. and what forms we should fill in and what other supporting documents do we need?
can anybody provide me with the detail list of what we need..
thank u in advance

Yes, you can start here (I recommend printing this "guide" in it's entirety):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp

What will help forum'ers answer your questions will be details like . . . Have you decided whether you are applying 'inland' or 'outland'? (Are you clear on the differences?) Are there any dependants involved, (either accompanying or non-accompanying)?

Where are you or your partner applying from?

You will need to read through the CIC guides to an outland sponsorship and the country specific forms. When you have had a good look, tried to understand what you can, come back here and ask specific questions regarding things you are stuck, confused or puzzled with. It is very hard for anybody to help you without questions.

Good luck :D

Yah there really will be a million and one questions you will have, alot of them will have already been answered somewhere in this forum. I used lawyers and they came in helpful because i have alot of questions and not alot of time to do the research. But if you have the time, everything you need is right here

quick question about payment of fee.....
sponsorship fee $75
Principal applicant$475
RPRF $ 490

and medical and police certificate has to be submitted along with the application?
am i right?

Welcome to the forum, yes to your question

another question is........
we have following proofs
1- plane ticket
2- visit to pakistan
3- lot of pics with me and my family, friends and reletives
4- lot of calling cards
5- skype and facebook chat messages
6- gifts and cards
7- some vdo's
8- phone bills.
9- my wife change her name right after marriage
10- marriage certificate
11- and a letter explaining our love story

12. tax return papers(showing that my wife declared me as husband on it)
13. my wife was pregnant but unfortunately she had miscarriage after 2 months. :(
and also we can provide CIC with letter from our friends stating our relationship.

I wish I had heard of Immigration Consultants before I filed my app. I think it's cheaper than a Lawyer and might have been helpful wrapping my head around everything. But just go and make some lists, go through the forms step by step, make a rough draft of them if you need.. start collecting your relationship evidence like photos, phone bills, plane tickets etc. I found it helpful to write a timeline of our relationship as a starting point. Once you start tackling the forms there will be more questions coming up.

Start asking your friends for those letters.. on some country specific guides they ask for a few that are notarized. Usually pictures of all aspects of the wedding ceremony are quite important, so make sure you have an adequate amount.

... It's so overwhelming but I would just repeat in my head ..forward ever backward never.. and go through it piece by piece, moving forward until the application was complete.

quick question.....my memory is not really good. so i cant remember the addresses i have lived on. i have lived in canada for 5 years on study permit.
i have lived on more than 7 addresses. how do we deal with this matter?
