When to submit EE profile?

Hello,

I am looking for some advice here on when to submit my profile. I have a score of 475, and I have collected all my documents except PCC from FBI. I applied for it in February. Going by the dates on their Web site, I am hopeful of getting it sometime in June or early July.

When should I submit my EE profile? I was really hopeful all along and was only waiting for my PCC but looking at the last draw (cutoff score 534) now, I am thinking if I should have submitted earlier?

Any advice/suggestions are most welcome!

My personal opinion is to submit your EE Profile as soon as possible. I think the CRS cutoff will be 500+/- until they have fully adjusted to fit refugees into the total Immigrant quota for the year.

Once the adjustment has accounted for the refugees then the cutoff might come down to 465-475.

JoacRy, thank you! I will prepare to get my profile submitted soon. Do I have any hope? I see that the scores went up around the same time last year, and then came down but, considering the recent cutoff scores have been reasonably high (around 470), have they reached a saturation point now?

Or, do I still have a realistic chance?

Hi, yes the scores went up last year. But we must remember a crucial fact. At this time last year we had a Conservative government in power. They had plans to focus on preserving the Immigrant quota to Economic Applicants (for the most part). It was only when the Liberals came into power that they enacted their election promise of bringing in refugees at the expense of Economic migrants. Due to the change of governments, a fair and reasonable comparison between 2015 and 2016 cannot be made.

I would say you may have a chance in say 2-3 months time (which is not a long time to wait by EE standards). In my case I filed my EE Application on 06 October 2015 and received my ITA which I accepted on 27 January 2016.

File your application ASAP, and don't give up hope.
