Hello guys ,,

Please help

(My wife will sponsor me,i am living in USA)

When we must to pay the fees of spouse sponsorship application, with sending the documents or after 35 days when they will approve and start processing?

And

What is the fastest way to do this? Should i pay from here (USA) or it is better and faster to let my wife pay from (CANADA)?

I am confused, and i appreciate your help and prompt replay.

Thanks in advance.

Hi- Well as far as the fees are concerned you have a couple of options. Your wife has the option of paying all the fees $1,040 $CND at the same time or she can just pay her portion and the $75 processing fee. However it is advised to pay all of the fees at once as this will help your application be approved faster. Apparently they say a month or so sooner.

So if you can afford it you should pay all the fees up front--

As far as how to pay there is only one very fast option and that is pay online...You need a major credit card and a printer. After that your wife will print a receipt and include it with the application

Hope this helps.

please do advise why the sum is so high?

On the cic.gc.ca they mention that

* $75 for the sponsorship application
* $475 for the principal applicant

we are planning to start our application too, what is the exact sum we need to pay for the application?

Hi the fees consist of these:

**$75.00 to sponsor (Processing Fees)
**$475.00 for the principal applicant for PR
****$490.00 for the right of Permanent Residence (PR)

**must be paid at the time of submission.
**** can be paid after the PR application has been approved, however it is suggested that you pay everything up front as it will make your application much faster as you won't have to wait for them to ask you to pay. can save you a month or two of waiting...and the good news if you get refused (if that is even good news) you get that refunded should you choose to pay up front.

bEst of luck

thank you very much for your reply.
could you please advise, whether $490.00 for the right of Permanent Residence (PR) is required for two kids who are less than 10 years old?
thank you

$150 for each accompanying family member who is under 22 years of age and not married
or in a common-law relationship.

No PR fees just $150 per child for processing
