when renewing the work permit, is the new work permit number still the same as the old one?

I would like to know if the work permit number remains the same when renewing
My spouse wants to sponsor me she has already applied to renew her work permit which expires in a few days but she can still contact me to work
I would like to know if the number of her current work permit will be the same that she will receive soon
I need to know if it is the same then I could use it to apply for my open work permit
