I have just been reading through the new Skilled Worker Categories and I have a question. It may have been answered elsewhere so please forgive me if it has but I am new to this particular site.
I am a highly skilled professional seriously thinking of emmigrating to Canada. I began my career as a Financial Analyst for a merchant bank almost 14 years ago, however since then I have advanced in my studies, obtained my PhD, done postdoc work and become a tenured Full Professor of Finance.
I have read quite a bit about making sure that titles match the classifications that the immigration authorities use. One classification is for Financial Analyst but if I am to provide emloyment certificates for the past 10 years they would read Assistant/Associate/Professor, will the authorities understand this to mean that I am no longer a Financial Alalyst but an academic?
I would appreciate any advice from someone will similar experience.
