I have a question about how to count family number and income criteria when both common-law partners sponsor their parents at same time and co-sign.

My family: I and My wife
My Parents' Family: My Father and My Mother
Her Mother' Family: Her Mother and Her Grandma (her mother is divorced and didn't marry again, and we are not planning to sponsor her father's family, her grandfather is passed away, her Grandma has no other children rather than her mother)

We are planning to sponsor both my family and her family at the same time when the window reopen. Her income is around 50k, and mine is around 60k in the past 3 years. Therefore, I think I will need to co-sign for her, but I am sponsor my family at the same time.

can someone please tell me is it possible for us to submit an single application for both of our family?

If not, how is our income calculated when we submit the application?

Thanks very much

I'm curious about this too. I'm not sure if you're allowed to be a primary sponsor on 1 app and co-sponsor on another, both at the same time.

If CIC allows you to be sponsor and co-sponsor, then you would need to account for family size of 6 for everyone to account for all the undertakings. This requires income of $71,992 (2013 LICO+30%), but if you and your spouse combined incomes then you could meet this (assuming both your incomes from last 3 years was through Canada taxes). Hopefully others can advise here if this is possible. If you can't do sponsor and co-sponsor at same time, then you'll need to choose which set or parents to sponsor.

Thanks for you reply Rob_TO.

I got one more question, In CIC website family class guide page, Income table section, there is 3 table, I am not sure which table should I use to calculate income requirement.

If I use table 1 + table 2, then her income is not enough to apply on her own, (21,906 + 23,498)* 130% = 59800.
If I use table 3, then her income is enough to apply on her own. (LICO for 3) 35,657 * 130% = 46354.

We live in BC, and our income is Canadian Income filed with CRA

Thanks very much

I used the numbers from this very website: http://www.canadavisa.com/necessary-income-levels-for-family-sponsorship.html

For family size, you have to count the sponsor + spouse of sponsor + parents. So for 1 set of parents, the family size would be 4.
