I will be applying to extend my stay as a visitor (currently a worker). Will be leaving Canada end of August.
On CIC I read: "You should apply 30 days before your status expires"
and also on a different page "If your current temporary resident status is still valid you can apply for an extension of your stay providing you apply at least 30 days before the expiry date of your current status."
Now I understand implied status and I would like to stay as a worker as long as possible so do you think it would be ok to apply 1 week before my work permit expires or do you think it would ruin my chances of getting the extension?
