Hi Guys,

My Sponsorship application is currently on going. My Aunt is sponsoring me.
I just sent my passport & other docs to the Visa Office here in Manila and currently waiting for updates.

Now I want to help my Brother to get to Canada as Well.

Here's his Background:

Room Service Waiter (5 star hotel here in Manila) - 5 Years upto now
Housekeeping Steward (Cruise Ship Europe) - 1 Year
Service Crew / Waiter And Bar Man - 2 months

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management
Certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Management

There are no Job Openings for Hotel Workers now in most Placement Agencies.
I want to know if there are other means of Application that we can do.

Thanks in advance for the responses

I don't believe that there is anything that you or your aunt can do to assist your brother. How exactly are you eligible for sponsorship by your aunt? (Don't bother to answer that. I read your previous posts. I'm extremely surprised that an adoption of a 20 year old would be valid, especially as it was obviously an "Adoption of Convenience" for immigration purposes).

No We are not trying to apply him in the Family Category.
That is why I am searching for other options since he has Background in the Hospitality Industry
and will also get points for having relatives in Canada. Is Express Entry possible for him?

Thanks

The best option would be for him to work through the page at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-express.asp and check for himself. However, given the limited information provided, it doesn't look good.

hmmm. any other options aside from express entry?

You may opt not to answer if you dont know any other way
(just ignore the question) instead of posting negative comments

LOL

He probably doesn't have any real options for immigrating at this time given this experience. If he can get at least a year of skilled experience then he may have options.

Hi scylla,

Oh is that so? I thought his 5 year Job as a Waiter and housekeeping steward (1 year) from a Cruise ship was skilled?

Thanks

No, they are not. Probably NOC 6513. Which is why I said it didn't look good. Check it out for yourself. http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=*
