Hi All,

Will be landing 'officially' next month and have these things on my list to do, anything I'm missing:

-SIN Card
-BC Services Card
-Apply for Child Tax Benefits
-Driving License
-Phone

Anything else?

After landing, and once you found a home :
Hydro (electricity)
Insurance
Internet / cable

find an immigrant service organization to partner with to help with employment and networking.

Cool, thanks. I've got a house now so insurance I have to sort out pretty quickly. I've asked my realtor to help with the hydro and internet cable.

Job sorted prior to arriving, should be able to do some networking through that

if your home uses oil heat also an automatic delivery agreement with oil delivery company.

immigrant service organizations also provide other types of support. i'd highly recommend partnering one for a variety of reasons.

Bank account?

It depends whether it is natural gas, propane and electric.

If natural gas, then contact Fortis BC for connection. If propane, get them from stores such as Walmart etc.
