What to do after work visa renewal application gets rejected?

I was on PGWP and my employer's application to extend my work permit got rejected. My work visa expired in the first week of September, what are my options now?

Did the rejection letter state that your status ended as of the date of rejection or the date of expiry of your PGWP?

If it was the first, then you can apply for Restoration as a visitor. If it was the second, then you have no option for Restoration and must leave Canada.
