What to do after landing?

Hi! I am not ready to move yet but the visa given will expire promptly (I did the physical screen too early). So I decided to land, stay for a week and then come back home to think carefully about moving afterwards. I know I will need to get PR card while I am there. Can anyone suggest any other paper works need to be done at the same time?

You will not get the PR card in a week but if you give an address of a friend or relative, it will most likely be mailed to them and they can mail it to you. Failing that, you can open up a UPS post box and give that address for the PR card.

You should apply for a SIN while you are in Canada.

I plan to have it shipped to a relative there and then he can ship it to me once received.
