Pre-Assessed..
I am really in PANIC mindset now. Guys any comments would be appreciated.

I just had my three years of physical presence in Canada within the last 4 years. I went to YMCA to take the assessment test to enroll in LINC program to get the Certificate that CIC requires. Unfortunately, I scored 8 in all categories. I was told hardly any centre caters to someone who has scored level 8. There is one office where they allow someone who has scored level 8 to take classes. This centre is far from where I live and I am told that I have to attend at least 50 hours of classes - which may mean another 2 months.

I am stressed out that the new Citizenship rule ( 4 years out of 6) will be implemented before i get the Certificate.

Any suggestion what I should do now?

if time is your concerned, write celpip test and you usually get the results in 8 business days...

1) Has anyone here given the CEPLIP test?
2) Is the 4 years physical presence requirement already in effect or there will be an effective date to be announced?

Gosh, it seems this gov. is tabling changes unilaterally without any consultation....

I have taken Celpip test and submitted results to cic, which they accepted without any problem.

Do I need to take the General test OR Academic test OR General -LS test for Citizenship requirement? (Note that I had scored level 8 on all 4 categories - Reading/ Listening/ Writing/ Speaking in the YMCA assessment)

How is fair that someone who had a level 4 or level 5 assessment from YMCA, can take only 8 classes and get the required LINC certificate, whereas as I who got level 8 assessment will have to take the CELPIP exam and pay $170 dollars because there is hardly any class available in LINC program offices with my assessment level in and around where I live?
