What is the "Processing Time" for an online OWP Application from India?

Hey Friends!

My wife is working in Canada and holds a Work Permit which is valid for another 3 years. On 3rd Oct 2014, I submitted an application for "Open Work Permit" through CIC Online and selected New Delhi, India as the processing centre.

Haven't heard back from CIC yet and the status in "MYCIC" is still "Open". Anyone of you sailing in the same boat as me out there???

Also, if any of you who got OWP approved through online application from India - It would be very helpful, if you guys can share your timelines!!!

Hi K,

My husband has applied for SOWP using the online portal in the first week of Oct. The application was received immediately, but since then we haven't heard anything. I understand, this could take upto 4 months and we may not be able to ask on the status until the time is elapsed. However, the wait is frustrating!

My application took 1 month. But I applied it through Paper application in VFS Hyderabad. Skilled (2174)

Can you please let me know if your spouse was on Work Permit or Student Visa? And also when did you submit your application?
