Just wondering if there is a minimum amount of time a COPR is good for when you receive it. For instance you have at least a month to land after receiving your visa. My fiance and I are going on vacation in April and although I've received my PPR, we paid the RPRF at the last minute thanks to his procrastination. And my medical was done April 23 of last year. So is there a minimum amount of time they must make the COPR good for, or no?

you are required to land before your medical is due to expire unless cic extended your medical validity which you would be notified of.

Well that's interesting, my medicals expired at the beginning last month and I my PPR and "decision made" status after that. And no, I wasn't told they'd been extended

Your medicals have been extended. They do not always let you know this, but they would not request your passport if you needed to do re-medical.

Exactly. Hubby got his PPR the day his medicals expired so they were extended obviously :)

Well I just got my PPR on February 12 and no notice that it was extended. I'm hoping this means they will send my COPR by the 23rd of April, so I can land when we drive down to Vancouver.

Congrats on the PPR aerogurl! :)

When you receive the COPR the date will be written on it. We received ours four months before the medicals expired, so the expiry date written was one year from the medicals less a day (medicals done 13 December 2011; COPR expired 12 December 2012). If they've given you a medical extension then you'll see what the new date is on the COPR form once you receive it.
