What is the meaning of "CALENDAR DAYS"?

Hello everyone,

When it says "Calendar Days" does it mean all days including Saturday and Sunday?
I applied my work permit last July 4th 2012(Online application) and base on CIC website,
Processing time for work permit is 54 days, and the remarks in the bottom page is

"If you submitted your application to an office inside Canada and if it has been longer than the time shown above since you applied, please contact the Call Centre. Call Centre agents cannot speed up the process of your application or make decisions on your case."

Should i call CIC on the 55th day of my application or maybe after a week of 54th day of my application?
Website says, They are working on the applications submitted June23

Today is the 52nd day, then there is the time to mail it. Since they are working on the 23rd of June, they haven't got to your yet have they. Give a week/10 days after the 55 days.
