What is the definition of '1 year of full-time employment'?

Federal Skilled Workers Program defines 1 year of skilled work experience as: "at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time"

I was recently refused an intra-company transfer work permit for not having a year of employment yet. Would this program follow the same guidelines?

I work 40 hours a week -- at 40 hours/week -- 1,560 hours is just shy of 10 months full time work

Any ideas here? I want to re-apply as soon as possible

You only worked just short of 10 months not the 12 months minimum required Doesnt matter how many hours you work over 30 hours per week you still need to pass 12 months.. See the guidelines here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/transferees/requirements.asp

Quote :
have been employed continuously (via payroll or by contract directly with the company), by the company that plans to transfer them outside Canada in a similar full-time position (not accumulated part-time) for at least one year in the three-year period immediately preceding the date of initial application.

As explained above - you don't have a year of work experience. You need 52 weeks of full time work to qualify to apply for FSW. Any week where you work 30 hours or more is counted as only 1 week of experience. You cannot carry the "extra" hours over to form additional weeks.
