If renting a room it rarely comes with en suite facilities. En suite facilities are usually limited to the master bedroom of a home.
University student residence often have ensuite facilities in their housing complexes.
Maybe some of the new high end private university residence towers but in general university housing doesn’t. I remember having shared co-Ed bathrooms.
It's not new. I remember visiting a friend with her private bathroom in her ensuite.
Most residences do not have private en suite bathrooms for every single occupancy room.
SO, what's the best accommodation you would suggest based on your past experience for renting a house/room/apartment for a new comers ?
Look at one bedroom apartment. If house, you can rent the whole thing. For room or basement, you can ask the landlord if you have an ensuite.
Depends on your budget and where you want to live and whether you are looking to rent a room or your own apartment. Are you single? Male/female?

For a private room , preferably with en-suite facility,If not, no problem at all, medium-sized room 12 to 18 meters.Location does not matter.

How can location in Ontario not matter? Not to be cheeky, but you can find something in Thunder Bay but it is a 14 hour drive to Toronto.
