I am an Indian. I got accepted to a private college in Canada and I was informed that the chance of my application being rejected is virtually zero. The process was done by an immigration consultant that the college offered.
Now, my visa request got rejected. The admission officer is puzzled why Indians NEVER get a visa for the private colleges and suggested that I apply to a public college and once I reach Canada on that visa, to just move the collage. While, the consultant is asking for a $150 consultation fee and $500 for requesting the reason for refusal.
Now I am suspicious of what is going on.
Is this normal procedure? The sudden new info by the college and the inflated charges has made me suspicious.

- I was never informed by the college that Indian have a less chance of getting into a private collage and a past experience was not mentioned before.
- From what I gathered from this forum, the process for requesting reason is GCMS and it only cost $5.
