What is the age bar for International student?

Hi Team,

I am 38 yr old and attended my last college in the year 2002 in India.
Am I eligible to avail student Visa in Canada after almost 15 years? Consultants in Chandigarh have suggested : "No", as there is a huge gap. But KPU-Surrey (Vancouver) councilor said, they don't have any concerns is issuing the acceptance letter.

Honestly, I am thinking on this track as my age and IELTS score are not going good! My last attempt was (L/S/R/W): 8/7/6.5/6 CLB-7 overall.
I have appeared in IELTS 4 times, but every time I receive shocking score here in India!

Please suggest, each year passing by is reducing my score.

Being a mature student is not the problem it will be what your current work experience has been, what education qualifications, how relevant those are to any course you plan to take and how convincing you are that you will return to hone country on completion of the course. Plus of course abilty to paying fees and living costs.
