What is Permanent Residence Portal?

Just wondering what Permanent Residence Portal is. I have become a PR (landed) for 1 year and got my PR card for almost 10 months. But I have never heard of Permanent Residence Portal.

When I landed, I could not provide a Canadian address. One month later, I used my Canada friend's address but I updated the address via the IRCC Webform, but not the Permanent Residence Portal.

Can anyone tell me if there is anything I have to do with Permanent Residence Portal???

If you already landed and got your PR card, then you don't need the PR portal. It's only for those applying for PR, confirming their PR inland and applying for a new PR card or PRTD.

1) Who are "Some people"? Do I fit into this "Some people" group?

2) Can I create a new account for my PR card renewal?


3) I have created an account and submitted my PR Card renewal application. Should I print it out and resubmit via mail? Thanks.
