My husband is in India and currently putting together his paperwork, then he will courier to me, and I will send along with my sponsor paperwork. But he has come across something a bit confusing... does this even apply to us?? Does he need to somehow upload an electronic police certificate or something in addition to our paper application that I am sending everything all together??
This is quoted from his email to me:
I was going through the http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp, when we move to part 3 under http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3904E.pdf country specific instructions, go to page 5, column 6, police certificate and clearances, they ask for the certificate while we click on the link in this column it says:
Do I need to provide a Police Certificate for Express Entry?
Yes. If you are invited to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence, you need to upload a police certificate in your Electronic Application for Permanent Residence (e-APR). Please follow the instructions above to get your police certificate.
NOTE: CIC will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications.
I'm a bit confused, is it after you're invited to apply or just at the this initial stage?
What is ITA?? Am I applying for express entry? Is this part of the spouse sponsorship?? I am really confused.
