As you know already, family sponsorship places the the burden of financial support on your sponsor alone. He is contractually bound to be financially responsible for all those he sponsors (Spouse/Common-Law partners, children, etc). IRCC provides Low-Income Cut Off (LICO) guideline as to the minimum income the sponsor needs to make. Below is the extract from the IRCC website.

Your partner makes more than $60k/year and he will be able to financially sponsor up to 6 people.
Your Master's degree and US Teaching experiences will be considered an asset to Canada. scylla is right, you will need to see how you can get proper Canadian Teaching Certifications in whatever province you plan to reside.
