for example in first AOR you received have at 10th nov 2009 from cio and they said you have to submit full application to visa office within 120 days which has last date is 10th march 2010. so what CIO has did with your file think they just complete your assesment and put and first BF'D for Visa Office which is 10th March 2010 so when you submit your full application to visa office within 120 days Visa officer will lock-in your file one 10th march 2010 not befor if you did not send your full document befor 10th march 2010 your file will be refusd and close so that was the story and and about second AOR VO will open the file and send you new file number with visa office timeline i got second AOR with new time they said your application need 8 to 12 months to finalize so its means they will not contect me befor 8 month from they day or first second AOR. i hop you got the point.

really very impressive info qorax... before reading this information i was really worried about my Case but now with ur this info.... i again got a ray of hope..... I have applied to CIO on 7 January 2010... under FSW 1 category with NOC 3142... CIO received my application on 21 january 2010 and sent me first AOR on 4 march 2010.... i have submitted all my documents on 9th April 2010 and status on CAS changed to RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE on 19 April 2010.... after that i m still waiting for my 2nd AOR with new file number.... my timeline is going to finish on 1 July 2010....

With ur information i got some ray of hope.... what u say about this????

Actually i have a question for u .AS i have withdraw my case as fsw and i recieved aor from cic in that it is written that they will send my checque in 8 to 12 weeks but somebody was saying they will send the ch.in 6 months as it usually takes in withdrawl cases i have to change my house as the owner of this house is asking if i change my house it will take more time i have 3 months in this house to stay .REALLY worried about changing address and waiting for 6 months kindly reply n if u have your msn or yahoo address kindly give me .thanks for every thing.

The Refund Cheque takes around 3-5 months. If u change your address in between, it'd be wise that u set-up a form of forwarding your mails to the new address from the old one. Intimating CIC about a change of address (for refunds cases) is inadvisable.

Hi Qorax maybe you could help me. I've read your threads on BF'D and background checks but my case just doesn't make sense to me.
I applied to CIO May 21st 2009 and submitted full documents September 2009. Sept 22nd 2009,ecas changed to "Received at visa office" I got a query asking for additional documents to prove employment in November 2009 to which I promptly responded to in December 2009. My ecas remained stagnant till April 28th 2010(7 months!!!) when it changed to "In Process" and since then nothing(2 months now).

Is it background checks or deep background check like I read on another thread or is it a case of BF'D? I have never travelled outside my country so I do not get it. An insight would be appreciated.

NB- I have sent case=specific enquiries and received no reply.

That addnl doc request was a good thing. It proves that your case is being looked into seriously. Probably as we talk, your Meds request would be on the way. It should be anytime now, if everything goes well.

Relax! Sometimes the 2nd AOR takes a bit of time to come by. Due to over-logged CHC reasons. Many get their CHC AOR after 2-3 months of docs filing.
