I completed my online application on Feb 16th, and on Feb 28th, I received the notification of sending my passport to them. Unfortunately, I need to start a coop job on Mar 1st, so I must bring the passport to my workplace on the first day anyway. If I do so, I definitely will need to send my passport "after" 30 days or to choose not to send the passport.
Therefore, I am here to ask dose anyone has the same experience like me?
If I do not send the passport, is there a "refuse" record on my Canada visa application?
If someone can come up some good solutions I will be really appreciate that!!

Thanks a lot!

Y not make copies of your passport bio page and any page your employer may need..an explain to employer your passport is at the Canadian High Commission for visa processing. Once it's back in your procession you present to them ( original)?

Personally between my employer and the High Commission i treat the High Commission with priority

May I ask where do you live....12 days is a record time! Are you in Canada or the US.
If you applied from the US where did you get the notice from NY or LA. Where are you going to send your passport?
I applied online for an emergency visa from the US on February 28 because my father was critical at the hospital. Sadly my father passed away this weekend and I need to go attend the funeral on thursday March 13. Until now no changes on my account.
Does anyone know what shall I do to get the visa this week?

so sorry to hear that.

i applied Feb 21st, but till now no response. i guess you could call or email the Canada visa offices about this emergency. they would understand.

take care!

Thanks Sykeepfit. I tried calling both embassies NY and LA. It's just a recorder. They don't accept personal calls. Also emailed both no response and time is running out.
