URGENT: For passport stamping, does IRCC need to have the passport in hand within 30 days, or does it count if I submit it to VFS on the 28th day?

Please advise as I have a travel abroad and would be returning on the 27th day. So I am confused if IRCC needs the passport within 30 days or VFS submission also counts for 30 day deadline
