Hi everyone. I'm hoping you can help me out with an issue I'm experiencing with e-CAS and reassure me that I'm not the only one experiencing it (because I haven't found anyone else posting about it here).
So, I signed up for e-cas tracker at the time I submitted my application. A few days ago I received sponsorship approval (or rather, my sponsoring husband got approval), and in short course followed an email from the e-cas tracker letting me know that it was able to successfully log in and which which parameters.
I went to the e-cas log-in page (specifically, this was the link that says "Client application status" or, if you're at the page that is titled "Online Services" with a bunch of links following, it's "Check --> Your Application Status" in the "Other Online Services" box) and put in all the information that e-cas tracker was able to get in with. I too, got in (after ok'ing the page that explains who may use the service, etc. as well as that which lists the terms and conditions, I got to the one where I could put in my info and voila...).
But...the next page I saw said "If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status." And the "underlined status" read: "Please remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application on this Web site.
Note: Once you withdraw your consent, your application status will no longer be available on the Internet. Learn about other ways of receiving information about the processing and status of your application by contacting us." If I check the box next to this paragraph I get to a page that asks, "Do you want to remove your status information from the Internet?"
Needless to say, these kinds of statements make me hesitate to be clicking anywhere until I understand more fully what is going on here and what the consequences would be.
So.....does anyone know what this would do and have you experienced the same thing upon logging in to e-cas???
Merci d'avance.
