I know they do they regular check up stuff. Do they always check your private regions out? Do they do a pap smear? I heard they do syphilis and HIV testing, but what if you have herpes? Or what if you are on legal amphetamines like Ritalin, Adderall or Vyvanse?
Do they have access to your regular family doctor file?
In my case, it was limited to a simple checkup - that is, they checked blood pressure and other vitals, tested reflexes, felt abdomen area, and other visual indicators. They will also do a urine and blood test, and performed chest xrays. They do not have access to your medical file, but they do ask you a series of questions on your medical history which you should answer truthfully.
While I had a simple checkup, they can request additional testing to provide their medical opinion on your case, including conducting a pap-smear if they deem it necessary (i.e. if something came up in your urine sample or abdomen test that required further testing). For men over 50, a prostate exam is mandatory. The full details are noted here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/appendix-02.asp
