What does this email mean?

This morning my husband got an email from immegration wanting to know his mailing address

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Before the issuance and mailing your immigration documents, please provide us with your actual, correct mailing address.


Sincerely,


But I checked our ecas and it still says "in process"
What do you think this means?? I think that it is approved but I don't want to get excited

it means they can't send out the COPR /request for passport for visa issuance until you confirm his current address. for some visa offices, ECAS doesn't change to DM until AFTER the approval's been put in the mail.
