I am an April 2018 applicant and my file is under London Visa Office. Today I have received the following update, however, what do security verifications mean? Is it a regular one? does everybody get security verifications or only selected ones? is it going to last for months?should I be worried?
I only knew this security verification started the same time when my background check started on my GC key on 26 April.

The responsible office has reviewed the application and documents submitted and determined that the sponsored person (the applicant) met the eligibility requirements.
The eligibility assessment has been finalized on April 25, 2019.
The medical examination results are on file and valid until June 12, 2019.
The criminality verifications have not been not initiated.
The security verifications are in process.
All of the requested supporting documents have been received and will be assessed.
Various factors can affect the time it takes to process an application. Rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient processing of the application.
