Pre-Assessed..
LANDED..........
23 August 2011
Has anyone been through a landing interview recently? Can you tell me of your experiences....

Thank you...

When I did mine... at Prescott/Ogdensburg.

The short description.

There was no queue at all.

I presented the my passport and COPR, waited for the Vo to enter my data, I signed the document as instructed.
I was asked a few questions, I presented my pre filled goods to follow lists, everything was stamped by the VO.

"Welcome to Canada"

Done.

You landed Baloo? Sorry, just haven't communicated with you for a good while and you have no information about your file.

HI

There i no formal interview.
Only took 2 minutes. Nothing asked just signature on COPR and you are done.
very simple procedure.

Hey Red,

Excellent, I am on the 23rd too. I am excited... It's just a formality I was told, I had a suit picked out, but I guess it's too formal.

Anyways, I will scream out... Who is Red? Just joking...LOL

Best regards...

OMG don't scream RedAlert!!! They might call in the Firemen or Bombsquad loll
What time is your interview. We should be there for 10.15 hr

My husband landed last week. He was told to bring me as his sponsor, the RPRF, two photos (they only took one) and his passport.

We were to be there at 9, but had to wait in a line to get to the counter to pay the fee. Then we were directed to an interview room, where the officer asked the usual questions - any dependents abroad not on the application, any criminal charges, if he had ever been asked to leave Canada or denied entry to Canada.

He signed a few lines on the COPR, I showed some identification and he got the stamp in his passport. Done!

Red alert LOL, I am at 9.15

Thanks Justina.... Do you have o send papers for your PR Card or they do. Congrats to your husband...

It seems to be different for each office. The form for PR car is already taken care of, pictures sent, the last fee is paid so there shouldn't be much waiting around for us.

Hey Inland, haven't asked you at which office are you landing?

I am in Montreal same office as you...

ah cool, well then we might cross each other or you might be already through, in any case, good luck and have a party afterwards, this waiting is OVER!!!

I have a huge party planned... I am happy. We just might pass each other.

Mmmh okay, oh I did not know it was. I ordered all documents as per CIC website---Supplementary form, because you have to pay to get PR card and send copy of COPR. Check it out maybe I am wrong.

Maybe I am completey wrong.p

The fee for PR card is included in the 490.-$
Did you get asked to send in your payment, the pictures for PR card and to verify your personal data, ex. eyecolor, date of birth etc?
