What are the different options for long term work permit?

Those who go to Canada for one year study permit are given a work permit of one year after completing their study. Is there any option for extended work permit? (Say 2 or 3 year work permit)

1. Only if the employer is willing to advertise the position on the job bank, pay the $1000 fee for a LMIA, demonstrate to ESDC that there are no Canadians/PR available or qualified for the position.
