Hello Fellow canadians,
I am a PR of canada and currently divorced. My wife sponsored for my PR in january 2012 and i landed in canada in sept 2012. Unfortunately things didnt work out with us and after 1.5 yrs of marriage we are planning to seperate out. My question to all of you is when i get married to somebody else and if i want to bring her to canada, what are my options? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Because you yourself were sponsored, you're ineligible to sponsor your new wife until five years have passed since the date you landed. So this means the earliest possible time you will be able to sponsor your wife is September 2017.

If you want your wife to come earlier, then she will have to do so independently. She could try to come temporarily on either a student visa or a work permit (if she can find an employer). She can also look into applying to immigrate independently as either a skilled worker or a skilled trades person - either through the Federal immigration program or one of the provincial programs.
