What after the visa office ask's for my passport?

Thanks for your response Bhooman and sorry to hear tha you still have not heard anything about your parents sponsorship.
Immigration is just so confusing and time consuming, isnt it. I am unable to make any plans right now as i am waiting for my Visa. I am unable to make a descion if i have to quit my work (have to give 4 weeks notice) right now.
Anyway, as you say i will email the embassy and check.

I have still not recieved my passport even after more than 4 weeks (Delhi, India). I am getting very nervous. Is there anyone who have not recieved their passports even after 4 weeks?

Mridula,
Do you mean your passport, or your PR visa to travel? Have you been requested to give them an updated/renewed passport and it has been turned over to them so you are just waiting for your approval call?
My husband gave his new passport to Lima Embassy ON APRIL 1, so all info was with them on that date to proceed with final evaluation. He has not been called yet, almost 10 1/2 weeks later.

Hi LCS,

I had been requested to submit my renewed passport. I just got my passport back today with the Visa!!!
I am not sure if i were supposed to be waiting for their call. I got a PR letter and my passport back along with few original documents i had submitted.
I am sorry to hear you have no news even after 12 weeks.
