Yesterday I tried to pay WES the fee of CAD 237.30 for FSWP Credential Assessment by my credit card through their website. I tried couple of times with my VISA credit card and every time my transaction was declined. Then after trying couple of times with my AMEX credit card and getting the "Declined" message, I called by bank to check what was wrong and my bank informed me that I have been charged CAD 237.30 by WES twice! That's CAD 474.60 in total and WES payment portal was still saying they did not get the payment. So I called my bank again and they informed me that the charges were still valid and that I have been billed CAD 237.30 twice by WES. Bank asked me to sort that out with WES!

I hurriedly called WES help line. I don't know how many times I called them but their machine always played the same message that there is no agent available! So I sent them an email. But it has been 24 hours and I haven't received any feedback and WES has not reversed the false transactions yet. I have not received any payment receipt or acknowledgement from WES yet also.

Did anyone here face the same problem? Please let me know what I should do now. I am CAD $474.60 down and don't know how to get the money back. I can't even proceed with the FSWP Credential Assessment.

Please help. Anyone?

I believe your checking the local canada time before calling their call center. Also mail them your WES reference usually they respond with in 2 to 3 days.
You could also use voip app called Voxofon to call them as i ran up the bill to some 30 CAD just to speak to them once.
 
I know about the time difference so I tried calling from 9 AM to 1 PM local Canada time (that's midnight in my city). But I always got the machine and no agent picked the call! May be I am getting paranoid but shouldn't I be worried! I do so many online transactions, but I have never faced such a problem.

If anyone faced the same problem then please share.

I had the same problem! Paid twice with wife's credit card and both times it said declined (HSBC credit card), and paid once with my MBNA credit card. Called the bank and first they said the payment was authorized, spoke with them again after and they said that the payment was authorized by them, but wasn't taken from WES. What happens in these cases is, the payment will show as a pending transaction for 10 working days, and will be then refunded to your account. If you look online at your account now, it won't show it as a transaction, but as a pending transaction. Saying all that, I read in the forums that some people managed to pay by credit card, but not sure which one ?
In the end, I paid by what they call it bank wire transfer. Barclays didn't know how to do it, but I managed to get it done via HSBC. The information WES give you, HSBC managed to send it as a note to the beneficiary. They gave me a letter, which I scanned and e-mailed WES to confirm the payment is done. After a week, they still haven't acknowledged they have received the payment. I called them again, and send them the letter from HSBC again and in the end it worked!

When you call WES, you have to be patient! I had to wait once 1.5 hours, and twice 45 min...

Sadly, I have undergone the same trouble today morning. I think payment by Cheque/Money Order/Wire transfer is going to be the best option for payment.

i also paid thru CC... but was able to pay at frst attempt.
i suggest please follow up with WES.

I had the same issue so when I called WES (yes they make you wait for some time. I had to hold for 25 minutes), they told me that my address doesn't match with the one mentioned on Credit Card. Then I tried with the correct address and it went through.
 
One of my friend went through exactly the same experience as before.
He tried 4 times and all the times his Credit Card was charged.
But WES did not receive the payment because his address was not matching.

So,
make sure that the billing address is the same.
WES does not like 47th if you have address like : 47th street.
 
I was in same boat as well. But WES and Credit Card, they didn't charge the money because WES did not response. The money was between CC company and WES in holding situation. It will not present on your Credit Card bill. You would just get reducing available count.
