Hello,

I'm applying for WES assessment. if my university is not in the list, then WES still can do the assessment. Do we still get points if the university is not in the list?

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/if-university-is-not-in-the-list-of-wes-free-credential-assessment-t362469.0.html This thread suggests something else.

Seniors please help.

IF WES is not able to give you ECA, you will not be able to claim points for any degrees that you obtained outside of Canada. Try other agencies like IQAS.

Not necessarily all universities are in their tool, you can go ahead and get your education evaluated. If you could mention your university here, you might find someone who has evaluated his/her education for the same.

Hi,

People have mixed opinion about this. My university is Rajasthan technical univeristy. It is accredited institute by AICTE. http://www.aicte-india.org/downloads/List_of_Approved_Institutes_2015-2016.pdf

Also I found this link, which gives idea about how WES is able to determine if the university is recognized in their country. https://www.wes.org/ewenr/researchasiapacific.asp?country=2#India

Seems like WES uses AICTE to determine if the given university is valid. Does anyone know, if WES mentions status of university in the report? and more importantly, CIC cares about that status shown by WES?

I don't have any idea about Rajasthan Tech Univ. And yes WES does mention whether the university is recognised or not. May be some one from this forum who has experience with this Univ can help

Wait for someone from your university who has progressed in his PR application to answer you. You don't want to take a risk if you send your documents and WES is unable to recognize your university.
