Hi, this is in request for a friend!
My friend studied BA IN CULINARY ARTS from Manipal University in India. It was a three year program. I wanted to know if my friend will get any points for that degree or if it’s equivalent to a Canadian degree!
My friend wants to immigrate to Canada by doing a two year College program. But is hesitant if he does not get points for his previous degree from India.

He will get points for that degree only if he can get an ECA for it, such as from WES.

No one can tell your friend until the WES process is completed. Your friend will want the degree as assessed as at least a 3 year equivalency. This way a two year program can be added to a “two year or more program.”
