i got my Canadian study visa ,i am in confusion that how much kilos weight i can carry to Canada with me.
how many suitcases,handbag etc,

Are there any restriction regarding this ?

extra information will be appreciate

thanks in advance.

you should check the free baggage allowance of the airline where you bought or plant to buy your plane ticket, they usually have that info.

but most of the time, if you are willing to pay, you can bring as much as you want i guess... ;D

here is some info from the CBSA website

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5082-eng.html#s2x1

i need simple answer , simply how many kilos?

20 kilos per luggage, max. of 2 per passenger is the free baggage allowance for philippine airlines, cathay-pacific, air canada, korean air...don't know about the others

ok thanks ;D

generally 23 kg 2 bags for check in and one hand bag with necessary stuff like docs and laptop. every extra kilo you pay charge around 1200/-(depends on airlines) Do check with your airline if the give discount and extra allowance for student visa.
Hope it helps

Hi friend,
most of the airlines allow two luggages of 23 kg and another one of 7 kg. which you can carry with you.

Nice humour - The maximum weight of an item is normally 32kg (70lb) and if you have to pay for the excess, it will hurt your bank account :)

ok thanks , so 2 suitcase would be perfect.

I would say "no need of carrying all stuff"..

I got a rice cooker in India, but while coming here it got broken. So, my 3000 INR got wasted in a matter of time. So, beware of such items.

I purchased many cloth items. Then I came to know everything you can get it cheap. (T-shirts from 9CAD to .. , Check Walmart like malls you will get better prices with the same quality)

Most of Indian markets available here, so no need to worry about food items. Even you can get cheap shavers, soaps (as much as same rate in india);

Don't carry shoes and like stuff. I don't think they will survive in this climate. You can buy good quality shoes here like 60CAD ++..

Better buy some related books. Here photo copying is restricted (you can't p.cpy the entire book); Options are available, you can go to public library and get some books. (I am not sure about books.. because all of my subjects are taught very clearly by staff and I am given enough printed materials from them... So I never tried books.. I use e-books though)

Ask, if you have specific qs..

csp.
