My name is Ankith, I am in PGWP in Canada. I got married on Febraury 2022, I have applied for my wife's LMIA through my employer like 6 months ago. We have received LMIA positive now. However we dont want to apply for Closed Work Permit or the Spousal Open Work Permit as we dont want to wait another year! (As the wait times are around a year and more now). We decided, my wife will apply for student visa and come in January entry.
So the doubt is, since we have a LMIA positive but work permit application is not yet started. Does this affect the study visa for my wife? To my understanding LMIA document is related to the employer and not related to employee.
