we are married what aplication should we apply for?

I am a Canadian citizen and I just got married. my wife lives in Uruguay and we met while on vacation in cuba just over a year ago. she has never applied for a visiting visa because she was told that she might get denied because her ties to her country were not strong enough. so now that we are married I want to know if the best thing would be to apply for a sponsorship visa or maybe a visitors visa and then if she get it to apply for a sponsorship from here? I takes along time for the sponsorship visa to be approved and I want to be with her now.

Nobody can tell you what to do.
You can apply for a visitor visa. If she is granted a visa, then you can apply inland, and as long as you get a work permit application with the inland papers, she will have implied status and she can stay in Canada.
If she is denied, then you won't have another choice than applying outland.
As you are a citizen ( and not a PR), you can be outside of Canada for the duration of the process. So if she can not come to Canada, so you can and stay with her until she gets her PR.

Family class sponsorship applications take anywhere from 8 to 24 months depending on the visa office you apply to. If your wife is a resident of Uruguay her application would have to go to the Buenos Aires Visa Office (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/buenos-aires.asp).

A visitor's visa is an uncertain affair, your wife might get it or she might not.
