You don’t just receive your work permit immediately. There are wait times. It is still unclear how you entered Canada with someone else’s passport, etc. These issues may also create delays.

Based on your previous posts you applied for asylum in Germany and then you had a French passport. You would not qualify to apply for asylum with a French passport in either Canada or Germany. You also wouldn't have gotten a visa to travel to Canada with a failed asylum application in Europe.
