I have gone through the medical check up end of August this year and I wonder how long it takes from that time to obtaining the permanent residence? I am applying from the UK. I was hoping to get a reply till end of this year but that seems unlikely now. Also if I don't get any reply by August next year, will I have to do the medical check up again as the current one is only valid for 1 year?
